RIBA President’s Medals Student Awards Ceremony 2010
December 2nd, 2010

I was invited to attend the prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) President’s Medals Student Awards 2010 ceremony on a snowy December 1st evening in London.
Each year RIBA honours student architects promoting excellence in the study of architecture from over 60 countries. The silver and bronze medals are awarded to the best design projects and the Dissertation medal award for the best dissertation. A number of other awards were also presented on the night including The Serjeant Awards for Excellence in Drawing.

I was invited to the ceremony because of the work I had done on creating the plasma screen presentation in the reception area which I was working with SAKR Design agency. The presentation showcased some of the work by the winners of this year’s awards.

The ceremony lasted an hour, after which we had a chance to view a small exhibition of the entries to the student awards. The exhibition will be open to the public from 1st December 2010 until the end of January 2011 before moving to Liverpool, where it will be on display at the milkandsugar gallery between 16 February and 8 April 2011.
