Airport Building by Jürgen Mayer in Mestia, Georgia
April 5th, 2011

Jurgen Mayer Architects has created a Wonderful architectural building for the new airport at Mestia, Georgia. It is part of Georgia’s ambitious plans to develop tourism in Mestia, a beautiful medieval town part of UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites and also famous as ski-resort.
I like the building’s unique geometry, with the twisting and turning walls that seem to emulate the ski slopes in the surrounding area, cumulating in a bending upwards viewing platform.
